He is retired from the post of Head, Department of Botany, M.L.V. Government College, Bhilwara (Rajasthan), India. He has been working on various aspects of biology of vascular plants of Rajasthan for almost three decades. He is having expertise in Pteridology, Ecology, Taxonomy and Ethnobotany. He has guided 12 students successfully for the award of Ph.D. degree. A new species of Ophioglossum to the world namely O. indicum Yadav & Goswami sp. nov. has been discovered from Rajasthan, India by him. He is guiding us for last one year.
